Dr. Michaela Kearney earned her Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences with a concentration in Health Policy from Arizona State University’s College of Health Solutions in 2015. In response to the industry’s shift toward integrated care, she pursued advanced training and completed her Master of Integrated Health Care from the same college in 2018. Inspired by her mother’s cancer journey and the profound impact of the nurses who provided her care, Dr. Kearney committed her career to advancing nurse engagement and well-being. She went on to earn her Doctor of Education in Organizational Leadership with an emphasis in Healthcare Administration from Grand Canyon University’s College of Doctoral Studies, where her research focused on the influence of work cognition on nurse engagement.

Dr. Michaela Kearney brings over a decade of diverse experience across healthcare, insurance, and organizational leadership. Her career spans multiple facets of the healthcare and benefits industry, including employee benefits account management, health insurance underwriting, medical practice administration, Medicare care advocacy, and financial analysis.
With expertise in engagement strategy, healthcare administration, and benefits design, Dr. Kearney has built a strong foundation in both client-facing and operational roles. She has guided organizations in navigating complex health benefit structures, supported Medicare enrollees in accessing critical care resources, overseen the administration of medical practices, and conducted financial analysis to drive informed decision-making.
Throughout her career, Dr. Kearney has combined strategic insight with a people-centered approach, consistently focusing on improving healthcare access, efficiency, and engagement.
Dr. Kearney is dedicated to community service and healthcare advocacy. She currently serves as Vice President of Student Fundraising for the Reagan Spirit Club in San Antonio, TX. Her previous volunteer work includes serving as Sponsorship Coordinator for the Colorectal Cancer Alliance’s Arizona Chapter and supporting the Joe Niekro Foundation.
